Manchetser United manager Erik ten Hag held a press conference ahead of the Red Devils' game against Southampton on Sunday. The Dutch coach was asked about the return of Christian Eriksen, who was injured in the Old Trafford side's FA Cup win over Reading.
Christian Eriksen suffered an injury in Manchester United’s FA Cup fourth round victory against Reading when he was tackled by Andy Carroll. This was undoubtedly a blow for the Red Devils, as the Dane was one of the key players in their midfield.
That is why Mancunian coach Erik ten Hag was asked about the midfielder's return and if he could play again this season for the Old Trafford side.
"I think he will play, definitely. But I can't tell now an expectation, but I think his progress in the rehab is okay. It is going according to plan, so definitely we will see him. But not before the international break," the Dutch coach replied.
Manchester United will return to Premier League action after being thrashed 7-0 by Liverpool at Anfield. The Red Devils will host Southampton looking to get back to winning ways in the domestic championship.
