Barcelona have made it clear in a statement that the player "is out" and that "recovery will determine his availability" for the last two league games.
Ahead of the Getafe match, Xavi is going to have to form a makeshift XI. The team have nine players absent for Sunday's fixture at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
