The Moroccan was marked by the mistake against Bayern Munich that left Sevilla without the European Super Cup. Four months later, he is the top scorer in La Liga.

Morocco striker Youssef En-Nesyri leads the LaLiga Santander scoring charts with 12 goals after his hat-trick (3-0) against Cádiz on Saturday, his second hat-trick this season as a Sevilla player, both at the Sánchez-Pizjuán, where he is now smiling after the heartbroken tears he burst into just four months ago in Budapest in the European Super Cup.

Sevilla took on Bayern Munich at the Puskás Arena in the Hungarian capital on 24 September in the match between the winners of the Europa League and the Champions League and the game was heading towards the end of normal time with a 1-1 draw.

In the 87th minute, En-Nesyri, who had come on for Dutchman Luuk de Jong in the second half, had a clear chance to virtually seal the game and the title for Sevilla, but, alone in front of Manuel Neuer, the German international goalkeeper made a great save and prevented the goal, so that the match went to extra time and ended in a loss.

The striker, born in the Moroccan city of Fez 23 years ago, even had another chance to score at the start of extra time but was denied by the post, adding to his frustration as he burst into tears at the end of the game, knowing he had had the chance to give his team a great success.
