According to 'El Chiringuito', Real Madrid have established contact with Mohamed Salah in a bid to sound out a potential move for the Egyptian forward in next summer's transfer window.

Since Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona was completed on 8th January, Jugen Klopp has become reliant on the 25-year-old's performances who has emerged as the stand-out signing of the summer, scoring 24 in 30 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside club.

His tally of 17 goals in 21 Premier League games has also seen him become the player with the best goals per minute record in the English top flight.

The Egyptian has even be given high praise from Anfield legend Ian Rush who said: "In his current form, Salah is ahead of Messi and Cristiano. He is better than them at the moment".

Real Madrid are now reportedly hoping to lure Salah away from Liverpool, as Zinedine Zidane's team need to improve their squad after a disappointing first half of the season which sees them langushing 19 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona

Salah joined the 'Reds' from Roma for €40m in summer and could be set to become 2018's next transfer 'soap opera' with reports in Spain claiming that the player's agent has visited the Bernabeu in the past few days.

This rumour has the potential to drag on for the rest of the season.
