With this summer's World Cup fast-approaching, we take a look at the young stars who could be the difference makers for their countries in Russia.

Cristian Pavon (Argentina) - 22 years old

Given the plethora of attacking talents for Argentina, Pavon will likely bide his time as a substitute but his creativity could be a fabulous option for team-mate Lionel Messi to flourish under.

Gabriel Jesus (Brazil) - 21 years old

Despite the injuries, Jesus had a prolific full-debut season at Manchester City, scoring 17 goals. He will be hoping to shoulder his country's expectations, alongside Neymar, to steer Brazil to success in Russia.

Marcus Rashford (England) - 20 years old

He saw his playing time cut under Jose Mourinho but with prolific strikers Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy ahead of him, Rashford could really excel for England.

Kylian Mbappe (France) - 19 years old

This youngster needs no introduction. Alongside Neymar and Edinson Cavani, Mbappe has torn defences apart in Ligue 1 and will be hoping to do the same at the World Cup.

Leroy Sane (Germany) - 22 years old

Germany has so much depth to the squad that the Premier League's Young Player of the Year will probably be used as a substitute in Russia, but that doesn't mean he can't terrorise enough defences to make an impact.

Andre Silva (Portugal) - 22 years old

With all the spotlight on Cristiano Ronaldo, Silva can go under the radar and continue his fine form for Portugal this summer.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Serbia) - 23 years old

His performances in Serie A this season has attracted interest from a host of European clubs and Savic will be hoping to translate that internationally. Arguably Serbia's biggest threat in Russia.

Marco Asensio (Spain) - 22 years old

Seen as the future of Spainish football, Asensio will undoubtedly have playing time in Russia. If he can recreate his performances for Real Madrid on an international level, he could be a key difference maker off the bench for 'Las Rojas'.
