According to the 'Daily Mail', Burnley boss Sean Dyche is open to taken the vacant manager's job at Leicester City.

The Premier League champions of 2015/16 are searching for a new boss after Craig Shakespeare was dismissed on Tuesday afternoon.

Dyche is emerging as a contender for the role at the King Power Stadium, and according to the aforementioned source, the Clarets boss would be interested in speaking to Leicester about the possibility of taking charge.

The 46-year-old is widely regarded as one of the brightest young English coaches after his brilliant work at Turf Moor.

Geographically, a move would suit Dyche, as his family currently live in Northampton, which is less than an hour's drive away from Leicester.

There would reportedly be a fee of around £2.5m if Leicester wanted to prise Dyche away from Burnley, which might be larger than expected for the Foxes.

Dyche is not the only man in the running for the job, with the Leicester chiefs reportedly interested in former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, but the 44-year-old is thought to be targeting a more prestigious role.

Huddersfield's David Wagner and Watford's Marco Silva are also targets, but it may be difficult to lure them away from their current clubs, while Chris Coleman is another name being mentioned.

Meanwhile, Sam Allardyce has ruled himself out of the running.

The former England boss told 'TalkSport':  "As much as I'd love to manager Leicester, I don't think it's time for me to manage yet."

Carlo Ancelotti was thought to be one of the Premier League club's more ambitious targets, but according to 'The Guardian', the Italian coach has no interest in the post and is looking to take a break from management until the end of the season after losing his job at Bayern Munich last month.
