The Watford midfielder acknowledged that big sides such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are keen to sign him after an impressive season. Talking to 'Telefoot' he insisted that, despite outside interest, his current focus remained at Watford.

Abdoulaye Doucoure has been one of Watford's star players this season, attracting attention from the beginning of the season as the 'Hornets' started strong under Marco Silva.

Despite Watford being unable to maintain their early form throughout the season, French midfielder Doucoure has continued to impress, recently starring in his side's shock 4-1 win against last year's champions Chelsea. The 25-year-old has provided seven goals and three assists for his side so far this season, appearing 28 times for the Hertfordshire club.

Unsurprisingly, this hasn't gone unnoticed amongst some of the league's bigger sides, with Mauricio Pochettino watching Doucoure from the stands in Watford's victory over Chelsea. According to the 'Daily Mail', it's not just Tottenham who have their eye on him, with both Arsenal and Liverpool also reportedly interested in the midfielder.

Doucoure recently confirmed these rumours himself in an interview on French TV show 'Telefoot'. "It's true that these clubs are interested," he acknowledged, although he made it clear he wasn't being distracted by their interest. "I'm at Watford for the moment and I want to finish my season well."

The Frenchman has been at the club for 18 months after moving from Rennes in 2016, commanding a fee of £8million. In order to try and tie him down, Watford have offered Doucoure a new deal, which would see his salary raised to £60,000 per week

However, if Javi Gracia's side are unable to convince him to stay, they would undoubtedly demand a fee that would exceed the £20million they received for Odion Ighalo last year, when they sold the striker to Chinese side Changchun Yatai.
