According to German newspaper 'Bild', Borussia Dortmund will have to pay Chelsea €60 million to make Michy Batshuayi's loan move permanent in the summer.

The Belgian striker has been in scintillating form since swapping the Premier League for the Bundesliga in January, scoring seven goals in nine appearances to help Dortmund recover from a shaky opening few months.

Two of his strikes, including a 94th-minute winner, came in Sunday's 3-2 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt, in which Batshuayi started on the bench.

His prolific record has understandably made Dortmund look into buying the 24-year-old permanently when his loan comes to an end in June.

However, going by reports in the aforementioned media outlet, it would require a hefty investment from the Bundesliga side - €60 million (£53m) to be exact.

Dortmund are in a relatively good financial position and could use the funds earnt from the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£56m) to Arsenal in the same transfer window, although their commitment will depend on whether Batshuayi can continue finding the back of the net for the rest of the season.

As for Chelsea, they would most likely be willing to sell the striker if they can get that sort of figure, after shelling out £33.2m to buy him from Marseille in July 2016.
