Hummels is set to leave Signal Iduna Park this summer after signing a new contract with rivals Bayern Munich

On Tuesday, it was officially announced that Mats Hummels will be playing for rivals Bayern Munich next season and Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke promises that there is no bitterness over Hummel's decision.

Watzke told Ruhr Nachrichten, "[A positive reception] is the hope and desire I have. There were no more whistles in Frankfurt. There is no reason for bitterness, we respect his decision, even if it is very unfortunate,

"We will discuss with Mats [whether to have a farewell]. Normally this is common, but the season does not end on Saturday with the match against Cologne. We do not want to give the impression after the game it is all over."

It will be an interesting new season for Hummels that's for sure!
