Departing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma acknowledged the Parc des Princes supporters who paid tribute to him on Friday after the 1-0 victory against Angers.

The Italian, whose next destination remains unknown, has missed his third consecutive match following the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille.

Just over a week ago, having expressed his "disappointment and sadness", Gianluigi Donnarumma had hoped for the opportunity to "look the Parc des Princes supporters in the eye one last time and say goodbye properly".

On Friday, in plain clothes, Gianluigi Donnarumma walked out, flanked by his teammates and staff, towards the Auteuil ultras stand, and then the Boulogne stand. He received a lengthy ovation as his teammates surrounded and embraced him.

The entire stadium then applauded him.

Coach Luis Enrique, who had admitted making the decision to part ways with Donnarumma, commented in a press conference: "It's always great to see the fans' support. I understand that it's a special moment for Gigio. It's difficult for everyone to manage, but it's great to see this feeling of trust and recognition from the fans."

PSG also showcased the five trophies won in 2025 on the pitch: the Champions League, European Super Cup, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Champions Trophy.
