Diogo Jota will not be able to play for Liverpool in the next Premier League game against Norwich City. The Portuguese hurt his ankle in the Champions League game against Inter Milan and his manager, Jurgen Klopp, confirmed in a press conference that he will not able to count on Jota for the next game.
"He's unavailable against Norwich. His time of absence is unclear. He needs more tests. Everything is possible, it could be slightly longer or he could leave in another manner," the coach warned. He also said that he will have no hesitation in leaving out big name players if he has to.
"It's the part I least like. It's easier when the boys give you reasons, like spending three nights in a bar or whatever, pictures in a pub, stuff like this. We've never had that so I cannot use that. There might be a chance that you start next week so you better keep yourself in a good place. Be angry with me, no problem. Be disappointed, no problem. But next day, show up and be the best version of yourself and go again and then you make the decisions difficult," he said.
When asked about Roberto Firmino and his form, he said: "Bobby is Bobby! If you knew him better, you'd be even happier with him because he is, simply, an incredibly person. When Bobby is keen, he helps the team in a superb manner. He could start every day just because of his quality."
