The Brazilian footballer is set to travel to London on Friday to unblock his current situation at the club. As reported by 'As', he will have to bend a knee and plead Chelsea to wave the lawsuit against him of up to £50 million.

As reported by the Spanish publication, Diego Costa is intending to return to London to meet with Chelsea directives with his future still very much up in the air.

The Blues wanted the striker to report back to training if they were to negotiate a deal with Atletico Madrid, which would see the 28-year-old return to La Liga in January.

'They want me to be there training with the reserves', Costa said. 'I wouldn’t be allowed access to the first-team dressing room and I would have no contact with the guys'.

'I’m not a criminal. I don’t think it is fair after all I have done to be treated like that', the striker, said, remaining in his hometown of Lagarto, Brazil, for most of the summer.

As reported by the mentioned source, the meeting will take place on Friday at Stamford Bridge and will be presided over by Marina Granovskaia, who is Roman Abramovich's closest ally at the club and also in charge of Chelsea's big transfers.

Granovskaia has been referred to as 'the most powerful woman in football' and she ultimately decides what to buy and sell on behalf of Chelsea's billionaire owner.

Both parties will look to but an end to the situation which has escalated over the summer, in search of a solution that suits both the player and the Premier League champions.
