Although he is 100% recovered from injury, Ferland Mendy was once again left out of the France squad. The player will therefore be at Carlo Ancelotti's disposal during the international break.

Didier Deschamps announced the France squad list for Les Bleus' upcoming matches in the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Among those selected was the absence of Ferland Mendy who, despite his role at Real Madrid, does not seem to have a place in the 2018 World Cup winning squad.

The former Olympique Lyon man is now fully recovered from an injury that kept him out until mid-October and is once again central to Carlo Ancelotti's plans.

Despite this, his importance at the Santiago Bernabeu has yet to be rewarded with a call-up from Deschamps, so Mendy will have to wait to return to the national team.

However, his non-call-up will be a relief for Real Madrid, who will be able to count on the player during the international break to finish his preparation before the league games after the 'FIFA dates'.
