Memphis Depay did not turn up to training this Wednesday before Barcelona go up against Ceuta in the Copa del Rey. Atletico Madrid are hoping to confirm the Dutch international's arrival within hours.
Barcelona manager Xavi spoke to the press before the game against Ceuta in the Copa del Rey. "I don't have any news about Memphis, he's our player", he stressed.
In fact, on Wednesday, according to Gerard Romero, the Dutch international did not attend the training session to try and force himself to Atletico Madrid.
Up until now, the Catalan side have not given an official statement about the ex-Lyon striker's absence from the session with the rest of his teammates.
In addition, the well-known journalist claimed that the Barca side are either asking for €7 million for him to go, or for a swap deal in exchange for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
It seems the situation has got tense in recent hours, as nobody liked the striker skipping the pre-Copa del Rey training session.
'Mundo Deportivo' journalist Fernando Polo reported that the transfer is very close to being sealed for a sum of money which is yet to be found out. Carrasco going to Barca is out of the question.
Finally, 'Relevo's Toni Juanmarti claimed that Depay will go to Atletico for around €3 million. The journalist also reports that it is just down to personal terms.
