After another injury setback for Ousmane Dembele, the value of the French international decreases with every passing minute as the signing threatens to become one of the worst investments in the history of Barcelona.

The new injury for the 20-year-old summer signing has caused great concern at the Camp Nou. Just when the attacker was starting to get into the swing of things, he suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg which could leave him sidelined for up to a month.

Thankfully, the Catalan club has coped well in Dembele's absense, extending their unbeaten streak to 29 games after their 4-2 win against Real Sociedad on Sunday.

However, it has put into question whether the board were right to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in the first place, especially given how much was spent. The total transfer amounted to €105m up front with a further €40m in add-ons which could all go to waste if the Frenchman barely features.

So far, Dembele has only played 263 minutes for Ernesto Valverde's side over seven appearances, which means that his cost-per-minute amounts to €551,133 with another four week lay-off set to maintain that high figure.
