The possible arrival of De Jong at Barcelona is being talked about too often. There are so many daily rumours of his supposed arrival at the Camp Nou that the young Dutchman has already made it clear that he is tired of the situation.
De Jong is tired. Despite being just 21-years-old, his face continues to appear day after day on the front pages of all the world's sport papers as Barcelona's target for the January transfer window.
The Ajax youngster saw it an obligation last summer to make it clear that he would continue in the Dutch League for one more season, but his word has not been enough to silence rumours.
De Jong has become annoyed with the shower of daily information, as he himself stated to 'ELF Voetbal'.
"At first it was fun and I was very flattered by the stories about Barcelona, but after a while the questions became annoying," admitted the young midfielder.
"For the moment, I'm staying at Ajax, at least another year and maybe two or three more years. I'm really enjoying it here," said De Jong, making it clear once again that he still doesn't want to wear the 'blaugrana' shirt.
