Frenkie de Jong appeared in the six-yard box to steer the 'Copa del Rey' final in the favour of Barcelona against Athletic. The Dutchman made it 0-2 in the 63rd minute, just three minutes after setting up Griezmann's strike that got Barca off the mark.

The 'Copa del Rey' final reached the break without any goals, but the second half certainly arrived with more precision in the box. Especially the one that Unai Simón and Athletic's back line were defending.

Barca had to wait it until the hour mark to open the scoring, when Griezmann managed to make it 0-1 with De Jong's pass. And Koeman's men only had to wait three minutes to celebrate another goal in La Cartuja stadium.

It was the Dutchman, who went from assister to goalscorer, who made the score 0-2 in the 63rd minute. The central midfielder, who had already struck the woodwork barely five minutes into the game, appeared in the penalty box like a real 'killer'.

Jordi Alba's cross was more than half the goal. Although an opportunity similar to this had been saved just moments before by Unai Simón. On this occasion, however, De Jong met the cross whilst stooping down to score a header that certainly calmed the nerves of a few Barca fans.
