Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong suffered an injury during 'El Clasico' against Real Madrid. The midfielder went for a split ball with Fede Valverde with such bad luck that he twisted his right ankle, the one that had already given him a scare at San Mames at the beginning of March.

The first half of  'El Clasico' had everything: Christensen's goal thanks to a bad challenge by Lunin, Vinicius' equaliser from the penalty spot and a phantom goal by Lamine Yamal. In addition to these three actions, there was an injury.

It was Frenkie de Jong who was the star of the show. The Dutchman, who suffered a sprained external lateral ligament in his right ankle at San Mames at the beginning of March, was once again injured due to the ankle.

Fede Valverde and the Azulgrana midfielder, who got the worst of it, were caught in the middle of the ball in the three-quarter area. The 'Cule' player completely twisted his right ankle and had to ask the bench for a substitution.

The Barca medical services saw that De Jong couldn't continue and it was then that Xavi quickly called in Pedri. Frenkie De Jong left the Santiago Bernabeu on a stretcher.
