Manchester United had goalkeeper David De Gea to thank for ensuring that they went into half-time of their Champions League clash with Sevilla on Wednesday night level after he made a stunning save to deny Luis Muriel.

Everyone knows that De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he showed everyone just why on his return to his homeland.

After a first half that had largely belonged to Sevilla, the hosts ramped up the pressure in the dying embers of the opening 45.

Their best chance came when Pablo Sarabia crossed from the right, the ball being perfect for Muriel who had peeled off his marker to be presented with a free header six yards out.

The Colombian made good contact with his header, only to be denied by a flying save from De Gea.
