David Seaman jokingly gave a fan the middle finger on his way into The Best FIFA Awards after a fan reminded him of that lobbed effort from Ronaldinho in the 2002 World Cup.

The former Arsenal and England goalkeeper was heckled by a fan when he arrived with his wife to FIFA's The Best Awards in London last night.

The 55-year-old turned back and laughed at the fan mocking him before turning again but this time with his middle finger raised.

It was of course in reference to that infamous goal scored by the Brazil legend back in 2002 that ultimately ended England's World Cup run.

Ronaldinho scored from 35-yards out with a free-kick that looped over the 75-time England 'keeper as the 'Three Lions' fell to a 2-1 defeat in the quarter-finals.

Once the show began, the Men's World Player Award was picked up by Luka Modric, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah coming in second and third respectively
