The reason for David Luiz's return to Chelsea
David Luiz has revealed in an interview with Chelsea's official magazine why he returned after two years to his former club.
David Luiz joined Chelsea initially in 2011 from Benfica but left them after a few seasons for Paris Saint-Germain. This summer he returned on the deadline day to Chelsa which was a very big surprise for his fans, as he hasn't been linked with his former team before.
The 29-year-old admitted that he was always happy at Chelsea and missed the club but this doesn't mean he was unhappy at Paris. "I was also very happy in Paris. I was winning trophies, I was having a great life there but I know me and I like to have new challenges in my life, to have ambition," he said.
He has a big aim for this season: He wants to win the Premier League. "One of the reasons I decided to come back here is because I know the Premier League well but I never had the opportunity to win it, so it is still one of my goals in my career".
