Jonathan David has hinted at his ambition to compete at the highest level as he prepares for a potential move in the summer. The Lille striker, whose contract expires at the end of the season, is attracting strong interest from top European clubs.

David, 25, has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 23 goals across all competitions. His performances have placed him on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham, while Barcelona are also reportedly monitoring his situation.

Having made a name for himself at Lille, where he has racked up 107 goals in 224 appearances, the Canadian international is eager for his next challenge.

Speaking after his goal and assist in Canada's 2-1 victory over the United States, the Canadian acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his future.

"This summer is going to be important," he told Golazo America. "I don't know yet if I will stay or leave, but if I move on, I want to push myself to the highest level. When you join a big club, nothing is guaranteed—you have to fight for your place. I'm prepared for that challenge."
