Dani Alves and Barcelona have decided to part company. The Brazilian fullback has said goodbye with a long message in which he explained his sentiments on the decision. And, this Thursday, after a number of rumours, he denied a possible move to Mallorca.

Dani Alves is yet to decide on his future following his departure from Barcelona. The fullback does not want to hang up his boots in any shape or form and he is waiting for offers to come his way.

In the last few hours, media sources such as 'El Diario de Mallorca' reported on the possibility of Dani Alves continuing his career in La Liga. The defender was linked with a move to Mallorca.

'Telemundo Deportes' repeated the news and Alves had no hesitation in coming to the fore on social media regarding the rumour. The Brazilian denied it completely.

"Lie!!! Thanks!!", he wrote on Twitter after sharing the rumour tweet.

After 1st July, Alves will become a free agent and he will be able to sign for whichever club he likes. The player is prioritising a competition at the highest level in world football.
