The Crystal Palace-West Ham game ended up starting later than expected. The Premier League matchday 34 clash was delayed due to trouble in the turnstiles where fans gain access to Selhurst Park.

The Crystal Palace-West Ham game had to wait longer than expected to hear the referee's whistle. The Premier League matchday 34's first game on Saturday, planned for 13:30 CEST ended up starting at 13:45 CEST.

The reason was due to problems on getting into Selhurst Park, the Eagles' home. The fault was in the turnstiles which check fans' tickets so they can gain access to watch the game.

That's what Crystal Palace said themselves on social media: "We're aware of issues with regard to turnstiles upon entering the stadium, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and are working hard to rectify the situation".

Both sides go up against each other in the battle to stay in the Premier League. The game is of bigger importance for David Moyes' The Hammers, who start the day 6 points above the drop zone.
