Darijo Srna has one again helped out local children in the Ukraine, this time he has bought 100 new laptops for children that have been affected by the Ukraine conflict.

Srna said in a statement on the club website, “Our home fans reside in Donetsk, in the Donbas,

“Through the years they believed in me and our team, but have found themselves in trouble lately.

“So I want to help them. Children are our future and they should have the opportunity to learn and develop, especially in these difficult times.”

The laptops were primarily given for educational purposes and were given to the residents of boarding facilities in Horlivka, Yasynuvata and Shakhtarsk.

Schools in the local area will also receive equipment from the Shakhtar Donetsk captain.

Approximately 2,200 children will benefit from the programme.
