Lucas Vasquez continued his praise for his former teammate but avoided getting into the subject of the eternal rivalry between the Portuguese star and Leo Messi: "I lived very good seasons with Cristiano. Cristiano's seasons are very good."
Also, the Galician took the opportunity to boast Real Madrid's position at the top of the table despite the criticism: "It was a difficult time with the defeat in Paris, but the team recovered very well. We are leaders, with a good situation in LaLiga, and we have to be proud of it".
Menawhile, Lucas Vázquez reviewed his origins: "Since I was a child my first memories are playing football with my brother. Always surrounded by balls. I started when I was three or four years old. What I would tell them is to trust themselves, to never stop dreaming and working. That's how you reach your goals. The important thing is to enjoy every day of football. If you achieve it, it's the best thing there is."
"When I joined the first team, I was a little nervous. It was something I dreamed of when I was a child and being able to fulfil it was wonderful. But I was nervous," he added with nostalgia.
The Galician player also spoke about the progress in women's football: "Of course I've been to girls' games. Women's football is booming and evolving. It has everyone's support and that makes it better and prettier."
