Hearts boss Craig Levein has been named Scottish Premiership manager of the month for August.
Hearts boss Craig Levein has been named Scottish Premiership manager of the month for August.
Hearts currently sit top of the Scottish Premiership after winning all of their opening five matches, five points ahead of second-place Celtic.
Levein was taken to hospital after having heart problems at the end of August, but returned in time to see his side beat Motherwell 1-0 last weekend.
"It's been interesting, the football has been fantastic. To win our first five matches is a great credit to everyone, the players and in particular the staff who I've had to lean quite heavily on in the last couple of weeks," he told 'Sky Sports'.
Assistant manager Austin MacPhee took charge of the team while Levein was recovering and played his part in the club's best start to a season since 2015-2016.
Levein previously managed the club from 2000-2004.
