Coutinho struggling to find his feet at Barca
Coutinho is yet to offer Barcelona the explosive play he brought to Anfield. He started Sunday's tie against Getafe but his performance was far from brilliant.
The Brazilian played on the left side of Barcelona's midfield trio, a position that has long been owned by Andres Iniesta at the Camp Nou.
Coutinho failed to shine, offering only a hopeful long shot and a few corners. It appears the ex-Liverpool midfielder is struggling to get up to speed with Barca's style of play.
Coutinho is, understadably, still acclimatising, and with his ability, it's certain he'll adapt. But for the moment, we've only seen a few flashes of the brilliance he's capable of.
In Valencia's Mestella Stadium he provided a class finish to turn home Luis Suarez's dinked cross. Against a solid, well set-up Getafe side, Coutinho suffered. In fact, the entire Barca team suffered.
Iniesta replaced Coutinho in the 62nd minute and subsequently Ernesto Valverde's side improved. But it simply wasn't enough against a team determined to take home a token point from the Camp Nou.
