Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho believes Coutinho has the potential to be a huge hit at Barcelona, as the Catalans continue to court the 25-year-old whose style would suit Spanish football, reckons Ronaldinho.
"Of course the decision is Coutinho’s, but Barcelona would suit him," said the Brazilian who spent five season at Barcelona and lifted two La Liga titles, the Champions League and the Ballon d’Or. "Talking about Philippe brings me a lot of happiness."
Ronaldinho had nothing but praise for the Liverpool man, who is also understood to be keen on a switch after handing in a transfer request in August.
"He’s a player I admire. Seriously, it brings me joy watching him. I believe that Spanish football has everything that is attractive to him. It suits his style," Ronaldinho continued.
"Barcelona doesn’t have any particular attraction for Brazilian players. But if he, or anyone, is to succeed there, they must play with passion. And they have to be happy."
"Then it’s just down to the player’s own imagination as to whether they succeed," Ronaldinho concluded.
