Betis could have taken the lead in Benito Villamarín against Real Madrid had it not been for Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper stopped a close-range header from Sanabria.

Thibaut Courtois became the saviour of Real Madrid at the start of the match. The Real Madrid goalkeeper stopped a close-range header from Tonny Sanabria from the edge of the six-yard box.

The move started with a great cross from the left by Sergio Canales who put the ball right on the Paraguayan forward's head.

Sanabria, who is making his debut as a starter in the 2020-21 season, came up against a Courtois who was determined to keep a clean sheet.

When everything seemed set for Betis to score, the Real Madrid goalkeeper pulled off an incredible save to prevent the Andalusian side's goal.
