Courtois: I want to return to Spain
The Chelsea goalkeeper revealed he cried when his time at Atletico Madrid came to an end in 2014 and admitted he'd like to return.
Thibaut Courtois left Atletico Madrid two year ago, in 2014, in order to join Chelsea again. He spent three seasons on loan in Spain and wishes to return to La Liga.
He told 'Marca' in an interviw that leaving the club was a hard time. ". I had cold blood, it was not easy. I cried".
He still lives in a Spanish rythm as he good used to their habits. "Atletico is a family club. I still feel their love. From the first minute I fell in love with Spain for its people, lifestyle, food… I still eat dinner and then have an afternoon nap, most of the television I see is Spanish… I am half Spanish".
His current contract runs until 2019. He hopes to return in 2018 to his loved club. or join them on a free transfer.
