Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is confident that new signing Alvaro Morata will score the goals expected of him after he made his debut against Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup.

Morata made his debut as a second half substitute in the game and assisted Michy Batshuayi's goal by flicking on Cesc Fabregas' corner from the left and Belgium international Courtois is confident that there is plenty more to come from his new team-mate.

Speaking to 'GOAL', he said: "I think he (Morata) just spent a few days with the team."

"He has to learn our way of playing but I think he came in very well. He was dangerous. We saw some of his ability."

"So he is a very good striker and he will score a lot of goals for us."

Much is expected from Morata, with the 24-year-old being brought in to fill the void that will be created by the departure of last season's top scorer Diego Costa, but it appears that he has the backing of his new team-mates.
