Conte revelead in his recent press conference that Tottenham will be in the market to sign a CAM this summer. This is so that Harry Kane can have more freedom at the top end of the pitch and play exclusively as a striker.
Before his visit to Aston Villa, a game in which he managed his side to a 0-4 victory, Antonio Conte wanted to expand on the details of Harry Kane's role in the team.
The Spurs manager revealed that the club will be looking for a CAM to join the team in the upcoming transfer window. He wants to do this to bolster the squad and allow Kane to spend more of his game time further up the pitch.
"Harry, he was born a striker, but he has the talent and quality to play like a number 10 with another striker in front of him. But I like to have him as a striker and then eventually another number 10. Two different players with different characteristics".
"Honestly I prefer Harry as a No 9, because when he stays in the box or the edge of the box he has great quality, right, left, also with a header, he has great potential".
