Gavi's injury was the bad piece of news for Barcelona in an excellent first half display against Athletic Bilbao. The footballer got caught in the groin and had to be replaced by Franck Kessie.

It does not seem serious, but Gavi was unable to continue for Barcelona against Athletic Bilbao after getting caught by Dani Garcia.

Gavi had the ball and Dani Garcia ran at force to get try and get the ball off him. However, the Athletic Bilbao man accidentally caught him in the groin with his knee.

The Barca player was in some pain seconds after picking up the knock. The doctors came out to treat him, but after trying to play on for about 30 seconds, he went down again. According to programme 'Jijantes', it seems to be just an external injury as a result

Kessie came on to replace him. Luis Enrique and Spain are keeping an eye on the diagnosis of Gavi's injury given it is so close to the World Cup in Qatar, which begins on 20th November.
