In an intense start to the game in Munich, Bayern drew first blood thanks to Kingsley Coman. He put the Bavarians in front in a quick move. He went past Trippier before beating Oblak.

Luis Suarez had chances early on to put Atletico Madrid ahead early on in Munich, but Bayern are the European champions for a reason. Flick's men gradually grew into the game.

A great aerial ball by Kimmich to the far post was controlled magically by Coman, who went past the Atletico Madrid defence, past Trippier, to be precise.

Coman took 28 minutes to put the Germans in front. The quick Bayern winger controlled and finished for the first goal of the season for the Bavarians in their Champions League opener.

As 'MisterChip' says on Twitter, Bayern's first and last Champions League goals last season were scored by Kingsley Coman. Will they win it again this year?
