Barcelona are working on different scenarios in case they cannot get either of Neymar or Lautaro Martinez this summer. A plan B, according to reports in Germany, would be to get Kingsley Coman, who would be a cheaper option, but still not cheap either.
In case negotiations with PSG or Inter Milan do not work out or COVID-19 leaves Barcelona's coffers too badly damaged, the club are working on alternative options to strengthen the strike force. One of them is to buy Kingsley Coman, according to the German press.
The Bayern Munich winger would be the cheap alternative to the Brazilian and the Argentine. Cheap relatively speaking since he is 23 and has a bright future ahead of him despite his injuries.
In fact, the same sources put a 60 million euro price tag on any deal with the Bavarian club. That is undoubtedly much less than the three figures the Catalans would have to pay for Neymar or Lautaro, but it is still an important amount of money.
Coman is not precisely a number '9' although he would reinforce Barca's attack both on the left and on the right.
