'Chiesa is good but he was always on the floor, I give up'

Inter defender Kwado Asamoah has had some strong words for Federico Chiesa following his side's 2-1 victory over Fiorentina on Tuesday night.

It was not an easy game in Milan on Tuesday for Asamoah and he was far from impressed with the antics of Chiesa.

"He is strong, but he always went down without me doing anything," was Asamoah's assesment of Chiesa's game at San Siro.

The former Juventus wing-back picked up a booking in the second half for a challenge on the 'Viola' forward, and minutes later he was in serious risk of seeing red after another late challenge on the striker.

However, following the game, he put most of the blame on the shoulders of Chiesa himself.

"He's strong. I've already played him a few times, he's intelligent and he has good feet," the Ghanaian told 'Inter TV'. "But at a certain point I can no longer support what he does.

"I am happy with what we are doing. We have found the right way to win. We are growing a lot, the league isn't easy and it needs people with strong minds."

Asamoah has been one of Inter's stand-out performers at the start of the new season, becoming a key man for Spalletti. He has started on the bench only once, against Parma, in the first seven games of the season.
