We take a look ahead to Wednesday's EFL Cup tie between Chelsea and Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea: Manager Antonio Conte is expected to field a strong line-up for the game as he looks to build on Saturday's win over Watford. Danny Drinkwater (calf), N'Golo Kante and Victor Moses (both hamstring) will miss out once again but other than that the hosts have no fresh concerns.

Everton: James McCarthy could make his return from injury in the game after playing 45 minutes for the club's U23 side last week, whilst fellow midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is also available once again. Caretaker boss David Unsworth will have to do without Idrissa Gueye, who was sent off in the defeat to Arsenal on Sunday. Long-term absenteed Ross Barkley (groin), Yannick Bolasie (knee), Seamus Coleman (broken leg), Aaron Lennon (muscular problem) and Ramiro Funes Mori (knee) all remain sidelined.

Did you know? Chelsea have scored ten goals without reply against Everton in their last three encounters on their way to three wins. Chelsea have been knocked out of the competition at this stage for the last two seasons in a row.

Possible line-ups:

Chelsea: Caballero, Cahill, Rudiger, Christensen, Zappacosta, Bakayoko, Ampadu, Fabregas, Pedro, Batshuayi, Willian.

Everton: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Williams, Baines, Schneiderlin, Davies, Sigurdsson, Mirallas, Calvert-Lewin, Rooney.
