Ross Barkley is no longer a Chelsea player after terminating his contract by mutual consent. The English player was not in Thomas Tuchel's plans and he is free to join any club.

Initially, Chelsea's plan this summer was to get rid of Ross Barkley. Therefore, the English player was offered to Everton and Aston Villa.

Chelsea were not capable of finding a new club for the midfielder. As a result, the West Londoners announced that they had terminated the footballer's contract this summer.

"We would like to thank Ross for his contribution to Chelsea and wish him well for the rest of his career," Chelsea announced in an official statement.

The England international left Chelsea with very good memories. "He helped us win the Europa League, scoring a spot-kick in the shoot-out victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the semis and then coming off the bench in the brilliant Baku triumph against Arsenal;" the club recalled.
