Chelsea needed to offload players ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season and is fulfilling its mission in this summer transfer window.
After Joao Felix joined Al Nassr and Marc Guiu joined Sunderland on loan, the next to pack their bags at Stamford Bridge were Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja.
The French defensive midfielder was announced by Burnley, who secured his arrival for a transfer fee of £25 million.
"Burnley Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu. The talented 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Turf Moor, joining from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee," said the Clarets.
"It’s a great feeling to sign for Burnley,” said Ugochukwu. “It’s a really exciting time to be here and I can’t wait to get started. I’m really excited to pull on the Burnley shirt in the Premier League.”
In addition, Fabrizio Romano also reported that the Clarets had secured the arrival of Armando Broja. The Slovenian striker decided to leave the Blues in a transfer worth around £20 million.
