Chelsea are still thinking what to do with Andreas Christensen. The Danish central defender has been linked recently to bolster AC Milan and Barcelona. As a result of this premise, Chelsea have marked themselves the aim of renewing his contract quickly because it expires in 2022.

Andreas Christensen is a player which, as every year goes by, becomes more important for Chelsea. Despite the difficulty to get into a team with so much quality, he always performs at a great level and he is one of the players Tuchel trusts.

At the age of 25, he is showing he is as mature as some of the best defenders in Europe. It is for that reason that several clubs in Europe have started to think of signing him.

The key to the matter is that his contract expires in 2022. In other words, he can negotiate with any club once the transfer window opens in January. Clubs like Barcelona and AC Milan have shown they are willing to get him in their squad.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano says that, as a result of this, the West Londoners have prepared a new deal for the footballer. Christensen looks set to stay at the Blues though and the new contract could be signed in the coming weeks.
