Chelsea investigated over Willian, Samuel Eto'o transfers
According to 'The Times', Chelsea are being investigated for "secret payments" when signing Willian and Samuel Eto'o in 2013. Both players were signed from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
Chelsea are struggling for good results this season as they are 11th in the Premier League despite not playing any European competition. The Blues continue to compete in the EFL Cup and face Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.
However, theses do not seem to be the only problems the Stamford Bridge outfit have. According to 'The Times', the English club are being investigated for "secret payments" when signing Willian and Samuel Eto'o in 2013.
Both players were signed in the 2013/14 season from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala during Roman Abramovich's ownership of the London club.
The same media outlet reports that both the former owner and Chelsea are being investigated for secret payments, which are rumoured to have been made when Abramovich took over the club.
