Chelsea consider Alex Sandro alternative
Reports claim that Chelsea are keeping an eye on Porto defender Alex Telles as an alternative to Alex Sandro.
'The Sun' reports that PSG have made an attempt to hijack Chelsea's deal for Alex Sandro, forcing the 'blues' to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
Chelsea had agreed a £60m deal to bring the Brazilian to Stamford Bridge but due to the French side's last-minute intervention they are considering alternatives.
Either way it looks like the 26-year old will become the world's most expensive defender this summer.
The same source reports that 'blues' boss Antonio Contehas approached Porto about Telles, tabling an opening offer in the reigon of £24m for a player who is said to be eager to test himself in England.
Conte is keen to strengthen his side further as he tries to retain the Premier League title. Both Telles and Sandro are seen as good competition for Marcos Alonso while Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko should soon complete his move to the club.
Any potential deal for former Chelsea man Romelu Lukaku looks to be much more difficult, with Everton demanding £70m+ for their star striker.
