Celtic took another step towards the Scottish Premiership title on Wednesday as they thumped Hearts 5-0 and made the most of Rangers' defeat away to Kilmarnock, who are now 10 points off the top.

With 7 matchdays until the split and 12 until the end of the season, it's in Celtic's hands to add another league title to their trophy cabinet. On Wednesday, Neil Lennon's men beat Hearts.

The Frenchmen Olivier Ntcham and Christopher Jullien, Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie and Jozo Simunovic scored the goals for the Hoops against a Hearts side who ended up with 10 men due to the sending off of Marcel Langer 4 minutes from time.

Steven Gerrard's Rangers are 10 points off the top after losing away to Kilmarnock. The Gers went in front in the 32nd minute through a goal from the Canadian Scott Arfield, but goals from Stephen O'Donnell (77th minute) and Eamonn Brophy (88th minute) completed the comeback for Killie.
