Celtic announced through their website that James Forrest has signed a contract extension until 2023. At 28, he arrived at the club when he was 9 and hasn't played for any other team since.

The Prestwick born winger is an indispensable player for Neil Lennon's side, and now has some amazing stats: 9 goals and 11 assists in 21 matches.

That is precisely why Lennon game him his debut in May 2010. 8 minutes in he scored his 1st goal.

Forrest has scored 81 goals since then, won 8 Scottish leagues, 4 League Cups and was named PFA Scotland Player of the Year last season.

“I'm absolutely delighted to get another contract. Now that it's done, I want to focus on playing and helping the team.”
