Cazorla will play for Spain again after four years

Santi Cazorla, who was part of the Spain squad which won Euro 2008 and 2012, is the biggest news from the Spain squad announced. After being close to retiring early, he is now enjoying his football again at Villarreal and has been rewarded at the age of 34.

Cazorla is happy when no-one was expecting him to be. Ten ankle operations not only almost forced him out of football, but also there was talk of him not being able to walk properly again. Now, everything is looking great

Luis Enrique has called him up for the Spain national team. Enjoying his football again at Villarreal was great, saving the team from relegation was even better, but getting back into the Spain squad was almost unimaginable for him. 

After a four year absence, he will put on the shirt again. At 34. Acccording to 'AS', who made contact with the footballer's inner circle, Cazorla is "happier than the first time Luis Aragones called him up."

Santi Cazorla formed part of Spain's golden era. He had the misfortune of not going to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa because of an ankle injury. He was there for the 2014 World Cup where the team got knocked out early on. In addition, he was in the squad for the 2009 and 2013 Confederations Cups. 

The Asturian's last game for Spain was against England in 2015. The match finished 2-0 and Cazorla scored one of the goals.
