At half-time of Real Madrid-Villarreal this Saturday, Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez went down to the tunnel to speak with referee Martinez Munuera, asking for explanations for the possible handball of Dani Parejo in the Villarreal area.

After 25 minutes of the La Liga encounter between Real Madrid and Villarreal, with the score 0-1 at the time, we witnessed the most controversial moment of the match. Following a cross into the visitors' box, the ball rebounded off the floor and struck the hand of Dani Parejo

Madrid fans knew they had to comeback in the match, given that Atletico were losing against Valladolid at the time, for a win that would give them the La Liga title. For that reason, they were quick to protest the play.

However, neither the referee nor the VAR believed it warranted a penalty. Martinez Munuera didn't signal in real time and De Burgos Bengoetxa stuck with the on-field decision.

But Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez weren't convinced about the decisions they'd seen on the pitch. They didn't doubt in going down to the tunnel to discuss the ref's decision in the encounter.  Neither player were on Zidane's squad list due to injury and had to watch the match from the stands.
