Bad news for Real Madrid. Dani Carvajal and Sergio Ramos were unable to take part in Tuesday's training session so they could be out of the Copa del Rey match with Alcoyano.
'Marca' and 'AS' says that both defenders did not appear for training on Tuesday morning at Valdebebas. Rodrygo also missed it as he is recoverting from the injury he picked up versus Granada.
Carvajal had recovered from his muscle problems which forced him to sit out the Celta Vigo match which he deliberately got suspended for. The Spanish international was also unavailable for the La Liga fixture with Osasuna and the Super Cup.
After joining up with the rest of the team in recent days, everything seemed to suggest Carvajal would return for the cup clash, but this last minute absence has once again affected the team's plans. Ramos has a knee problem which saw his knee bandaged at La Rosaleda for the Super Cup semi-final with Athletic Bilbao. The captain was also limping.
There is some good news for Zidane though. Varane, who went off in the Super Cup semi-final after having his foot stepped on, is back. Victor Chust and Antonio Blanco also participated in training and could face Alcoyano.
