Emre Can has said he will not make a decision over his future until the summer, and insists he is concentrating on his football until that point.

Can's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer and he is able to speak to clubs and sign a pre-contract deal now should he want to. He has repeatedly said he will not stay at Anfield, but so far there have been no clues as to who his new club will be.

"Of course I have to think about my footballing future," Can said to the 'Liverpool Echo'. "I haven't signed for any other club, I'm just focused on this season. We want to finish in second place in the Premier League, we're in the Champions League quarter-finals and we want to progress. That's all I'm focused on now.

"My agent has blocked all negotiations, I'm thinking only of football."

Juventus have been the club most heavily linked to Can, and they are among the possible opponents in the next round of the Champions League, following their victory over Tottenham.

"Let's see who we will get in the quarter-finals," Can said. "We did our job and we are through the round. I prefer to not play an English team, but I don't care who."
