Burnley have bid rejected for Rodríguez

West Brom have rejected a bid from Burnley for striker Jay Rodríguez, according to 'Sky Sports'.

Sean Dyche's Burnley have had a bid of £16m rejected by Championship side West Bromwich Albion for English striker Jay Rodríguez, 29. 

Rodríguez, a product of Burnley's academy, scored 11 goals last season for the struggling Midlands side. He also previously enjoyed success at Southampton, scoring 35 goals in 126 appearances for the Saints.  

The Baggies are reportedly looking for a figure nearing £20m for the forward, while Burnley are yet to spend this summer. 

Burnley have also made a bid for Swansea City midfielder Sam Clucas.
